Morto's Earthworks & Tank Cleaning is a family-owned and operated business proudly based in the beautiful Lockyer Valley, Queensland.

 

Our journey began in 2011 as Morto's Tank Cleaning, with Ben cleaning water tanks on weekends and after finishing his full-time trade work. As demand grew, so did his passion for the earthmoving industry. In 2012, Ben began working in earthmoving professionally, continually expanding his skills and qualifications across a wide range of machinery and equipment.

In 2018, we purchased our first machine—a Terex PT30 Posi-Track with chain digger and post hole auger attachments. For the next few years, Ben balanced full-time employment during the week with building our business after hours and on weekends, often working seven days a week to turn our dream into reality.

By the end of 2019, we knew it was time to take the next step. We officially rebranded as Morto's Earthworks & Tank Cleaning, allowing us to expand our services beyond tank cleaning. After a period of contracting, Ben committed to the business full-time in July 2020, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our family.

​

As the business continued to grow, so did our fleet. In 2021, we added a Kubota U25 2.5-tonne excavator, followed by a new ASV RT40 Posi-Track in 2023, replacing our original machine. Each investment has allowed us to take on a wider variety of projects while continuing to deliver the reliable, high-quality service our customers expect.

Behind the scenes, Tarryn has always managed the administration, accounts and business operations. After leaving her corporate career in late 2022, she joined the business full-time in January 2023, allowing Morto's to continue growing while providing a more streamlined experience for our customers.

​

In March 2025, Ryan joined the team as our labourer. Ryan now carries out our water tank cleaning services and assists Ben across a range of earthmoving and property improvement projects.

As the business continued to grow, Jasmine joined the administration team in May 2026. Jasmine assists with customer enquiries, scheduling, accounts administration and the day-to-day operations of the business, helping us provide an even higher level of service and support to our customers.
